استغرق مؤتمر الهيئة العامة للمجلس الوطني يومين من الاجتماعات الموسعة وورشات العمل المتخصصة أسفرت عن إقرار نظامه الداخلي ورؤيته السياسية وتنظيم عمل مكاتبه في مجالات الحراك الثوري والإغاثة والإعلام والعلاقات الخارجية والاقتصاد وغيرها
 
واستقبل الرئيس التونسي المنصف المرزوقي أعضاء الأمانة العامة للمجلس في ختام أعمال المؤتمر، بعد أن شارك في افتتاحه، وعبر عن دعم تونس المطلق لثورة الشعب السوري ووضع كل إمكاناتها تحت تصرف الثورة السورية
 
هذا ويعقد المجلس مؤتمراً صحفياً في الحادية عشرة صباحاً بتوقيت تونس يوم الإثنين الموافق للسابع عشر من شهر كانون الأول/ديسمبر ٢٠١١ في فندق غولدين توليب في ضاحية قمرت لشرح أهم نتائج أعمال مؤتمر الهيئة العامة والذي شارك فيه ٢٣٥ عضواً من داخل سورية وخارجها

The Syrian National Council Completes Its First General Meeting And Plans A Press Conference
 

The two-day conference of the SNC's General Assembly included council-wide meetings and special workshops that resulted in the adoption of internal rules and procedures, as well as the SNC's political vision. In addition, the conference resulted in organizing the different SNC offices and committees, such as revolutionary activities, relief works, media, foreign relations, economy, and others.

Tunisian president Moncef Marzouki participated in the meeting's inauguration, and met with members of the SNC General Assembly at its conclusion. President Marzouki expressed Tunisia’s unequivocal support for the Revolution of the Syrian people and affirmed that his country's capabilities were at the disposal of the Syrian Revolution.

The SNC will hold a press conference at 11 am GMT on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011, at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Qamrat, a suburb of Tunis. During the press conference, the SNC will explain the most important outcomes of the conference of the SNC General Assembly, in which 235 members from inside Syria and abroad participated
